Scheme Details In Depth

Fast-track early-stage climate & deep tech founders

The SPARK Program is a cohort-based, equity-free pre-incubation and early acceleration platform run by Atal Incubation Centre – GGSIPU (AIC GGSIPU Foundation Delhi) for early-stage, tech-enabled startups. It is designed to help founders move from idea or prototype to a pitch-ready, fundable business in a structured, high-impact format.

What SPARK offers

  • 12-week hybrid program combining intensive learning and extended support (typically 5 weeks of focused sessions plus 7 weeks of fundraising and growth support).

  • Equity-free incubation support during the program, with access to AIC’s ecosystem, mentors and infrastructure.

  • Free co-working seats and prototyping lab / fab-lab access for founders, easing early infrastructure and hardware development costs.

  • Tailored 1:1 mentorship (technical, business, fundraising and go-to-market) from domain experts, investors and experienced entrepreneurs.

  • Investor access and pitch day, with expected funding opportunities in the 50K–500K USD range through partner investors (not guaranteed grants).

  • Branding, marketing and visibility support via digital campaigns, showcase events and AIC GGSIPU channels.

Thematic cohorts with real-world impact

Each SPARK cohort is theme-focused, for example Smart Automation, IoT & AI Sensor TechSustainability & Climate Tech, or other deep tech and impact-driven domains. Startups work on sectors such as alternate energy and green tech, sustainable agritech, circularity and waste management, climate-tech, AI, automation and IoT hardware.

SPARK aims to bridge the gap before significant traction and valuation, helping founders validate markets, refine business models, get investor-ready and plug into long-term incubation pathways within AIC GGSIPU’s sector-agnostic innovation ecosystem.

Additional Information

Eligibility
Open to early-stage startups (idea, prototype, MVP or early revenue) seeking to become pitch-ready and investment-ready through a structured program.

Startup must be tech-enabled and scalable, working in domains aligned with the cohort theme (e.g., Smart Automation, IoT, AI sensor tech, Sustainability & Climate Tech).

For sustainability and climate-tech cohorts, ventures should be tech-enabled sustainability / climate-centric with a market-ready product; early traction is preferred.

Startups should be Indian or India-focused; multiple calls specify “Indian startup (registered / unregistered)” as eligible.

Founding team should commit to active participation through the full 12-week hybrid program, including sessions, mentorship, and investor interactions.

Specific themed cohorts may add extra criteria (e.g., at least one woman founder for Women Founders Cohort).

Age of startup, incorporation stage, DPIIT recognition, and revenue thresholds are not explicitly fixed in public calls and are evaluated case-by-case (Age / financial requirements: NA – not specified).

Location Eligibility
Primarily Indian startups and founders based in India; calls reference “Indian startup (registered/unregistered)” and are run from AIC GGSIPU’s Delhi campus (Pan‑India eligibility).
