Scheme Details In Depth
ADITI 4.0 (Acing Development of Innovative Technologies with iDEX), the 4th edition, provides grants up to ₹25 Crore (50% of Product Development Budget) to startups, MSMEs, and innovators for tackling 25 critical deep-tech challenges from Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, Defence Space Agency, and Coast Guard.
Purpose and Impact
Launched March 2026 by Raksha Mantri during National Defence Industries Conclave, ADITI accelerates indigenous development of strategic technologies like quantum radar, AI, cyber weapons, autonomous systems, reducing import dependency and boosting Atmanirbhar Bharat. Part of ₹750 Cr scheme (2023-2026), it targets ~30 high-end tech by 2026 with export potential.
Key Benefits
Milestone-based funding: Up to ₹25 Cr iDEX + matching from applicant for PDB ~₹50 Cr+.
Ecosystem support: Partner incubators for mentorship, testing, military validation, procurement paths.
Spiral development: Scale winners to production; up to 2 winners/challenge.
Success Metrics: Prior ADITI editions funded dozens; iDEX overall >₹280 Cr contracts, 13 procurements; builds on DISC series.

Capability for critical/strategic defence tech matching 25 problem statements.
