JSW MG Motor India has launched the MG Developer Program & Grant Season 6.0. The program aims to accelerate innovation in India’s automotive and mobility ecosystem. It is run in partnership with DPIIT, Startup India, BSES Rajdhani Power Limited, TERI, and LICO Materials. The focus areas include AI in automotive, EV charging, V2X intelligence, logistics, sustainability, circular economy, and next-generation manufacturing.

Over the first five seasons, MGDP attracted more than 1,550 applications. Over 290 teams were shortlisted and 51 startups progressed to pilot projects with MG and its partners. This makes it one of India’s most active corporate-led automotive innovation programs. Season 6.0 invites students, innovators, inventors, startups, and tech companies from across India to apply.

Selected participants will receive high-touch mentorship from MG Motor’s leadership and consortium experts. They will also get structured business and product development support. Winners stand to gain non-dilutive grant support of up to ₹25 lakhs (jury-decided). Additional benefits include national visibility through PR and direct pathways to pilots and scale-up within MG’s mobility ecosystem.

Applications for MGDP Season 6.0 opened on 16 March 2026. Entries close on 30 April 2026. A focused mentorship phase runs from 2 to 20 May 2026. Demo Day is scheduled for 1 June 2026. If you are building solutions in mobility, EV, AI, manufacturing, or sustainability, this program is the right platform to validate, pilot, and scale your innovation.

Eligibility

1. Open to students, independent innovators, inventors, startups, tech companies, and internal teams of partners across India.
2. Applicants must submit company/startup details, founder information, and a profile or pitch deck.
3. Select a relevant theme/category such as Innovation in Logistics & Supply Chain, AI in Automotive, V2X Intelligence, Sustainability & Circular Economy, Innovation in Vehicle Technology, EV Charging Infrastructure, or Manufacturing Innovation.
4. Provide a concise solution brief (around 100 words) along with detailed supporting files (PPT/PDF/video) covering problem, solution, technology, roadmap, and impact.
5. Mention current development stage (prototype/MVP), business model, traction (POCs, pilots, customers, or revenue if any), and estimated project cost.
6. Solutions that directly address India's mobility challenges and can be piloted with MG or its partners will be preferred by the jury.

Location Eligibility

All Indian startups and innovators; pan-India participation is allowed.
