Scheme Details In Depth

MeitY TIDE 2.0 is a transformative government initiative by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), designed to strengthen India’s technology startup ecosystem through the Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) program. Implemented in partnership with AIC Pinnacle Industries, this program provides comprehensive financial and operational support to individuals and early-stage teams developing innovative solutions in emerging technologies.

Program Objective:

The EIR program specifically targets entrepreneurs and startups leveraging cutting-edge Information and Communication Technology (ICT) including AI, IoT, Blockchain, and Robotics. These technologies must address pre-identified areas of high societal relevance, creating meaningful impact in critical sectors.

Focus Areas for Solutions:
  • Healthcare Technology & Digital Health

  • Educational Technology & E-Learning

  • Agricultural Technology & AgriTech

  • Financial Inclusion & FinTech

  • Infrastructure & Smart Cities

  • Environment, Clean Tech, and Clean Energy

Financial Support:

The program provides significant financial backing to help entrepreneurs move from idea validation through Proof-of-Concept (PoC) development. This funding bridges the critical gap between concept and commercialization, enabling startups to achieve technical feasibility before seeking venture capital.

Key Benefits:
  • Direct financial support for PoC development and validation

  • Mentorship from experienced industry leaders and MeitY advisors

  • Access to AIC Pinnacle Industries’ extensive network and resources

  • Business development guidance and market validation support

  • Networking opportunities with investors and corporate partners

  • Exposure through MeitY’s startup ecosystem platforms

  • Potential pathway to follow-on funding and acceleration programs

Program Impact:

By combining government backing (MeitY) with incubator expertise (AIC Pinnacle), the EIR program creates an enabling environment for tech entrepreneurs to validate their innovative solutions rapidly. This accelerates the journey from concept to market-ready products, strengthening India’s position in emerging technology sectors.

The program represents India’s commitment to fostering an innovation-driven economy where breakthrough technologies address real-world challenges across essential sectors.
