Scheme Details In Depth

Innovate for Impact Challenge 2026 (AgTech Startup Competition)

What you win
The Innovate for Impact Challenge 2026 is a global AgTech startup competition that offers cash prizes and a high-visibility pitch stage at the Borlaug Dialogue in Des Moines, Iowa.

  1. Winner: $50,000
  2. Second place: $10,000
  3. Third place: $5,000

Who should apply
This challenge is for early-stage, tech-driven AgTech startups building solutions for food security and sustainable agriculture. If your innovation improves farm outcomes, resilience, or long-term sustainability, you can apply from anywhere in the world.

Why this challenge is worth it
Prize money is only part of the value. Finalists gain global visibility and strong ecosystem access. The Borlaug Dialogue brings together 1,500+ food and agriculture leaders from 70+ countries, so you can connect with investors, policymakers, and industry partners in one place.

Selection timeline (simple and clear)

  1. Applications close in April
  2. The top 10 announced in July (submit a pitch video and financial details)
  3. Public voting opens soon after
  4. The top 3 pitch live in October at the Borlaug Dialogue, where winners are announced

Competitive edge (how to stand out)
The competition is strong. The first edition received nearly 400 applications, showing serious global interest.

To stand out, keep your story sharp. Start with the problem, explain what makes your solution different, and then prove impact with numbers—yield improvement, cost reduction, emissions cuts, water savings, or farmer income gains.
